Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford shares pregnancy news with wife
Good Morning Britain weather man Alex Beresford has announced he is set to become a dad again as he and his wife Imogen McKay announce they're expecting their first child together.
The pair, who tied the knot in October 2022, took to Instagram today to share their joyous news. Weather reporter Alex posted an intimate snap featuring his hand gently resting on the baby bump, captioning it: "The greatest gift. In awe of my beautiful wife growing Baby B. We can't wait to meet you. x".
The touching post attracted an avalanche of messages from fans, followers and ITV colleagues. Good Morning Britain star Susanna Reid wrote: "The best news - huge congratulations to you all" alongside a red heart emoji. And fellow Good Morning Britain star Charlotte Hawkins typed: "Ahh massive congratulations!!!" and added a red heart of her own, The Mirror reports.

Loose Women star Charlene White wrote: "So excited for you both!!!" And This Morning host Ben Shephard typed: "Ahhh what wonderful news" along with a trio of red heart emojis. While another fan also wrote a simple message of support, typing: "Congratulations to you both."
This new bundle of joy will be Alex's second child, adding to his family that includes his 14-year-old son Cruz from his previous marriage to Natalia Natkaniec. After their separation at the end of 2019, Imogen and Alex started their love story in August 2020, despite her being blissfully unaware of his TV stint because she chose not to look him up online before their meet.
A mutual friend set the pair up on a blind date and things went so well that they got engaged on New Year's Day two years later. Alex got down on one knee on a beach in Deia, Mallorca and in September 2022, they travelled back to Mallorca to get married on a romantic clifftop temple at the stunning Son Marroig estate.
Reflecting on the big day, Alex later told Hello! magazine: "When I turned to watch Imogen walking towards me, my heart skipped a beat. She looked amazing, so classically beautiful and exactly as I'd imagined."
The weatherman went on to say his cousin described the ceremony as "like being in a movie" but noted the most important part of their day was "marrying the woman he loves". Imogen agreed she was overcome with emotion after seeing Alex at the altar.
Alex previously opened up about balancing dating with parenting. Speaking on the Get Britain Talking podcast, he said: "It's been a massive learning curve, I didn't think at the age of 20 that when I was approaching 40, I would be in this situation.
"The age of 40, you'll be married, you'll be a grown up, you'll have a kid or two, your life is going to be set. I'm not old, I don't feel old, it's a bit daunting.
"But we've been in lockdown, so even if I wanted to go on a date, I couldn't go on a date. I don't want to grow old on my own, life is for sharing and it'd be great to meet someone in the future but they have to be right for me, right for Cruz."
