Ben Shephard won't be appearing on Good Morning Britain for a few weeks now.

The presenter usually hosts the show with Kate Garraway when Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid are on holiday.

I’m A Celebrity star Kate revealed Ben's break just after the show opened, saying: "This is Ben's last day.

"You're going having a bit of time off, aren't you?"

Ben explained he was going to be filming Tipping Point, as it was the "peak time" to work on the ITV daytime show.

The gameshow has been on hiatus since lockdown started earlier this year.

"We'll be back in the studio, all socially distanced set so I'm not going to be here," he added.

Kate poked fun at his job, adding: "Of course you're working. Asking questions and loading up a machine."

Ben recently hinted he wanted a Tipping Point crossover with Coronation Street.

On Twitter, he shared his delight to find Corrie character Mary had created a blanket covered in pictures of his face after revealing him as her secret crush.

"I thought being mentioned by Audrey was good – this is another level!" he wrote.

"Mary's 'Ben Blankie' in all its glory! I think I’ve peaked!!! Thanks @itvcorrie + @APattiClare.

"How about Mary comes on @TippingPointITV?! Can't wait to see this episode next week."

Patti Clare appeared on the show to explain why Mary made the product, saying: "In Mary's world, being embraced by Ben is just her idea of heaven, so she's put two and two together and come up with 10.

"I think it's a brilliant idea, and she could get a chain going of Ben products."
