Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley makes rare marriage admission
Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley has made a candid admission about his marriage to Judy Finnegan.
The journalist and presenter revealed he and his wife of 38 years sometimes sleep in separate bedrooms due to his early start. When he's on the ITV breakfast show, Madeley has a 6am start time and doesn't want to disrupt his partner's sleep.
"When I'm doing Good Morning Britain I sleep in the spare room," he told Kate Thornton on her White Wine Question Time podcast.

"I do probably sleep a little bit better in bed with Judy but I'm okay on my own," he continued.
Speaking about potentially disrupting Judy's sleep routine, Madeley said: "I wouldn't think of doing that to Judy. Apart from anything else, Judy and her sleep, you do not mess with."
Madeley and Finnigan tied the knot in 1986 and have two children together, Jack and Chloe. The couple rose to fame as the first hosts of ITV's This Morning, which premiered in 1988.

Discussing fellow morning presenter Amol Rajan's comments about sleeping better with his wife, Madeley said: "We did This Morning, but the difference between me and Amol there is that Judy and I would get up at the same time.
"The alarm would go off, we'd both get up and roll into our jeans, get in the car, and drive to Liverpool to do the show, and then when we were in London, drive down to the Southbank. So we went to bed at the same time and woke up at the same time."
Good Morning Britain airs live from 6am weekdays on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
