Gordon Ramsay Planning A Grand Return To UK TV

You might have missed Gordon Ramsay on the TV over recent years, but rest assured – the feeling is entirely mutual, as the foul-mouthed chef is planning his grand comeback to UK TV screens.

Ramsay, 49, has reportedly entered into discussions with numerous UK channels to land a deal – but is unlikely to return to Channel 4, which aired programmes such as Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and The F Word.

This news comes after the Michelin-star restaurateur relocated to America to star in a series of shows across the pond – most recently, Hotel Hell, in which he aims to advise and improve struggling lodgings across the country.

According to The Sun, he is locked into a two-year deal with the FOX network, which he signed back in summer 2015, but is keen to return to British screens to possibly bring back some of his popular shows along with new projects.

A source revealed: “Gordon has launched his own production company to make new scripted and unscripted TV shows.

“He has been away from UK screens for years trying to increase his profile in the US and clear his debts, but he is ready to return now.”

The father-of-four previously had a multi-million pound golden handcuffs deal with Channel 4, but may return to ITV, where he previously hosted Hell’s Kitchen.

The source added: “He’s negotiating with several broadcasters to bring back ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ and ‘The F Word’ and there are lots of new ideas for shows as well.

“This time he wants to keep his options open and probably won’t sign an exclusive arrangement like before with Channel 4. He is speaking to ITV, the BBC and Sky and they are all interested to hear his ideas.

“It’s a really exciting time and he can’t wait to get back to Britain.”

We’re sure that the UK TV networks can’t wait for his return either – and are currently testing their bleepers in preparation!
