Gorillaz play new album The Now Now in full at Tokyo performance

Gorillaz performed their new album The Now Now in full ahead of its release on 29 June.

The band, who have already shared singles "Humility", "Lake Zurich", "Sorcererz", "Hollywood" and "Fire Flies", performed the record in Tokyo - with their cartoon characters and Snoop Dogg making appearances via on-screen visuals.

The Now Now is the follow-up to last year's album Humanz which received positive reviews from critics, with the Independent calling it a "worthy addition to Gorillaz's cartoon universe".

Albarn recently told Entertainment Weekly that he is "permanently dissatisfied" with his music: "I have little glimpses when I'm making something, like 'Ahhh I love this! This is great!' Then that moment ends and I just sort of return to: "Am I ever really gonna find - I don't know what it is, but am I ever really gonna find it? I don't know."
