Gosforth barbershop and hair salon wins four national awards, including best customer experience
A Newcastle salon is celebrating success after scooping national four awards.
There were over 2,800 entrants at this year's Salon Awards, which recognise the innovation, talent and dedication of the UK's hair and beauty professionals, but Webster & Carr and its sister business For the Love of Curls saw off the competition to walk away with several wins.
Kirsty Park, the mastermind behind For the Love of Curls, a niche textured hair studio based in Gosforth, made waves with her dual victories as Texture Stylist of the Year 2024 and Texture Salon of the Year 2024. Her dedication to textured and curly hair, paired with years of experience in the industry, cemented her position as a leader in her field.

Darren Carr, the founder of Webster & Carr Gentlemen’s Barber Lounge, earned the coveted title of Men’s Stylist of the Year 2024.
Adding to their achievements, Webster & Carr also secured the award for Best Customer Experience 2024, highlighting the team’s commitment to delivering exceptional styling for its customers, as well as creating an environment where they feel valued, understood and at home.
Darren said: "Winning these awards is a testament to the incredible talent, passion, and hard work of our team. Kirsty's work with textured hair is nothing short of transformative, and it's an honour to see her talents recognised at this level.
"At Webster & Carr, we believe in putting our clients first, and earning Best Customer Experience is proof that this philosophy resonates. We’re immensely proud and excited to continue pushing boundaries in the industry."
Kirsty said: "Winning Texture Stylist and Texture Salon of the Year is a dream come true. It’s a testament to years of dedication to the industry and all our clients who repeatedly visit our salon."
Salon Awards founder Kate Jeffery said: "This year has been overwhelmed by exceptional quality entries, some winning and losing by the finest of margins.
"The Apprentice category was a highlight this year for me, primarily because of the attention to detail, quality and depth of those entries. It's exciting to see such determination from those in the early stages of their career and being supported by salon owners, it's great for the industry and the future of hairdressing.
"The Salon Awards is truly celebratory and a step-change towards goals for the next year to come. I am looking forward to seeing the boost it gives the winners and the finalists."
