'I got £3.50 Toby Carvery roast from Too Good To Go – the contents were insane'
No one wants good food to go to waste, and that's one of the reasons why the app Too Good To Go has become a hit in the UK.
The service connects ravenous Brits with eateries committed to minimising food waste. And one woman has achieved viral fame for revealing the incredible value she discovered through the app at Toby Carvery.
Shivani Khosla, a content creator, disclosed her astonishment on TikTok after picking up a roast dinner for a mere £3.49. The sensation of scoring an entire roast in her Too Good To Go grab bag left her flabbergasted.

Presented with a choice between meat or a vegetarian option, Shivani opted for the meaty one. She expressed her delight at what she got, saying: "They gave gravy, and everything was warm. They gave me gammon. I thought they might give a bit of turkey, beef and gammon, but I think it's just one meat."
To her surprise, not only did she receive a hearty slab of gammon, but also roast potatoes, mashed potato, peas and steaming gravy were included, ready to savour immediately. The abundant helping was so enormous that she wound up sharing with her sister and father.
Spellbound by the haul, Shivani described the bargain as "insane" for fetching such a feast for slightly more than three pounds. Even the gammon, which she had initially worried could be too "salty", proved delightful, and the potatoes seemed as though they'd been freshly prepared.
Her encounter has left her puzzled as to why more individuals aren't using the app. Walking away with a delicious, cheap meal that was nothing short of delightful is the sort of experience that keeps customers coming back.
After sharing her video on social media, it has amassed over 50,000 likes, triggering an avalanche of comments. Other savvy savers were quick to offer guidance on how to maximise the benefits of Too Good To Go. One viewer remarked: "Brilliant for that price."
While another chimed in with: "That's a great dinner." A third admitted: "I deffo would have demolished the whole thing in two minutes flat."
Several enthusiasts didn't hesitate to reveal their own hacks for snagging the best deals on end-of-the-day leftovers, with certain locations emerging as hotspots for discount hunters looking for a late bargain.
One individual tipped off another must-visit spot, sharing: "Try Greggs Too Good To Go." And yet another advised: "Millie's Cookies ones are incredible."
