GoT star Iwan Rheon joins Mötley Crüe movie The Dirt

Iwan Rheon is joining Mötley Crüe biopic The Dirt.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former Game of Thrones actor is in talks to play guitarist Mick Mars, alongside the already confirmed Douglas Booth as Nikki Sixx and Machine Gun Kelly as drummer Tommy Lee.

Punisher actor Daniel Webber is also in negotiations to play the group's frontman Vince Neil, completing the line-up.

Effectively, this means we've now got our full Mötley Crüe, and it is thought filming on the project will begin in February.

The Dirt is based on the best-selling autobiography of the same name written by the band and author Neil Strauss.

The book was an extremely candid account of the group's rise to fame, detailing life at the top of the '80s rock scene, as well as band members dealing with drug addiction and other personal challenges.

A movie adaptation of the book has been in the works for quite some time. Indeed, The Dirt was previously attached with Paramount and Focus Features before landing at Netflix.

Jeff Tremaine (Jackass: The Movie) is on board as director for the project, while the Mötley Crüe band members will act as co-producers on the film, alongside Julie Yorn, Erik Olsen and Allen Kovac.

A release date for the movie is yet to be confirmed.

Since leaving his role as notorious Game of Thrones villain Ramsay Bolton, Rheon has also starred in Sky Atlantic's Riviera and Marvel's Inhumans.
