Gove: Funding cuts are no excuse for dangerous housing

Housing and levelling up Secretary Michael Gove says cuts to funding is “no excuse” for the housing association responsible for the death of Awaab Ishak and says it was their “basic responsibility” to make sure people are in decent homes and calls on the CEO to “do your job man”. His comments come as an inquest finds that the toddler Awaab Ishak died of a respiratory condition as a result of mould while living in social housing. .
