The Graham Norton Show has confirmed plans for its return this autumn, with the talk show including a mix of in-studio and video-linked guests.

The BBC show's last series was presented entirely remotely due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, though with restrictions eased since then, Graham will be welcoming guests to the studio once again.

The show will be back on our screens on October 2 at 10.45pm, with country legend Dolly Parton and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's Riz Ahmed both appearing – albeit remotely via video link.

The studio guests will include actor Rupert Everett, comedians Lolly Adefope and Sara Pascoe and musical guest Róisín Murphy.

The series will include a studio audience as well, though it will be smaller than usual due to social distancing measures, while the traditional red sofa will be replaced by individual red chairs spaced out.

The last series of The Graham Norton Show included guests such as Sandra Oh, Will Ferrell, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans, the latter of whom revealed on the show why he would never play Captain America again.

"It was a great run and we went out on such a high note that it would be risky to revisit it in my opinion," he said. "It was such a good experience and I think it's better left that way."

The Graham Norton Show returns on October 2 at 10.45pm on BBC One.
