Chrissy Teigen And John Legend ‘Uncomfortable’ Watching Taylor Swift’s Slur On Kanye West At Grammys

Chrissy Teigen has weighed in on the feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West, admitting that she found Swift’s Grammy acceptance speech “awkward”.

The 26-year-old singer picked up the 2016 Grammy Award for ‘Album of the Year’ and took this as an opportunity to share her Bad Blood with the rapper, who recently made the claim that he was the one who brought her to fame.

During her impassioned speech, she subtly directed a dig towards West, saying: “I want to say to all the young women out there—there are going to be people along the way who are going to try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame.

“But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be greatest feeling in the world.”

However, not everyone fully supported the Blank Space singer’s actions. In fact, Teigen – who is good friends with Kanye West and his family, and has worked out with Swift at NYC’s Body By Simone – was left feeling uncomfortable by the whole situation.

Speaking during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the pregnant model explained: “It’s tough when you’re put in the middle like that. I didn’t get to see it live, but I don’t know. It’s so awkward. It’s an uncomfortable moment. It’s weird. John and I were very uncomfortable by it.”

Talk show host Andy Cohen and fellow guest Kristin Chenoweth agreed with her, adding: “I thought, Why give up your huge moment? You are winning Record of the Year. Why hand it over to this guy?”

Swift and West had an ongoing feud for years, which notably began after the rapper interrupted her speech at the Video Music Awards in 2009.

The 38-year-old didn’t grab the microphone to congratulate the award winner, instead he shouted about Beyonce’s music video, claiming that it was one of the best “of all time”. #Awks

Teigen could forsee that the war of words could continue for some time, stating: “Well, I’ll tell you. It’s not over. This is going to go on. This is being waged.”

Oh dear. Can’t you guys just…
