Grammys 2020: Men steal the show on the red carpet

Awards season is primetime for Hollywood's finest to bust out all the stops when it comes to hair, makeup and gorgeous gowns that have us all collectively wishing we had personal stylists to tend to us daily.

All eyes were on the red carpet for the 2020 Grammys Sunday night, featuring a stunning Lizzo having a white, Versace moment inspired by queen Diana Ross and Ariana Grande in a tulle, tiered Giambattista Valli ball gown.

But even though the ladies of music brought the heat as always, it was the men who stepped it up this year and really took the standard awards season tuxedo that we're so accustomed to seeing and turned it on its head.

From diamond-encrusted adornments to playful cuts in unexpected color palettes, men's fashion at the 2020 Grammys was anything but predictable, let alone traditional.

Here were our favorite men's fashion looks at the 2020 Grammy Awards:

The statement-making Billy Porter shut it down in a blue jewel-encrusted Baja East by Scott Studenberg jumpsuit and matching cropped blazer. The star rocked Alexis Bittar jewelry and a custom hat that was remote control operated, opening and closing face-obscuring strands of jewels.

Diplo opted for a more svelte look in a black tux and cowboy hat, paired with a western-inspired collar adorned in turquoise and silver and a handful of David Yurman signet rings.

The 41-year-old DJ used his time on the red carpet to speak to the passing of Kobe Bryant, as he stopped to chat with E! News' Ryan Seacrest:

"To be here at Staples right now and to look up and you see [Bryant's] jersey up there, you just feel the energy because we're doing the Grammys right here, but 82 games a year they're playing in the stadium and in this arena and Kobe brought this energy to Los Angeles for 20 years. This is his backyard. This is his home. Someone like that, he transcends iconic. So he's going to live forever."
