If you're looking for a new gig and an opportunity to travel to Ireland, we might just have a dream job for you (yes, it's better than this luxury yacht-reviewing job!). Quick question: Do you like coffee? And would you be interested living on an island rent-free?

Great Blasket Island, located off the coast of Kerry in Ireland, posted a tweet about a new position. The island is looking for two friends, or a couple, to work at its coffee shop as well as provide other "island accommodations" from April 2020 to October 2020. While the tweet does not list the salary, it does note that room and board will be provided for the chosen pair.

Sounds exciting, right? But before you apply, we must warn you—it's a pretty off-the-grid experience. In recent years, the island has been making strides to restore homes and bring more amenities to the land, according to its website. Unfortunately though, there is still no electricity, Wi-Fi, or hot water, according to RTE.

"We use gas hobs in the cottages and the coffee shop," Alice Hayes, the main contact on the job posting, explains. "We have gas canisters out the back. We know when the water is boiled with whistling kettles on top of the hobs, and we can cook on the gas hobs as well." She also mentions that there is "a little wind turbine that generates enough electricity to charge one device, so you are not completely cut off." Wowza, talk about a DIY charging station, amiright?

While the pictures attached with the tweet are absolutely gorgeous, this might not be the ideal role for someone who's used to living in a smart home. However, for those who are interested in really getting in touch with nature, you can email Alice at info@greatblasketisland.net for more information. While we're unsure of the deadline, the tweet is certainly popping off on Twitter, so we'd suggest applying soon.
