The World Para Athletics Championships have come to a close, with Great Britain picking up 18 gold medals at the London Stadium.

Hannah Cockroft was the star, winning gold in 100m T34, 400m T34, 800m T34, meaning she has still never been beaten in a global championship dating back to her first in 2011.

Great Britain's other multiple gold medal winners were Aled Davies (Discus F42, Shot put F42), Georgie Hermitage (400m T37, 100m T37), Sammi Kinghorn (200m T53, Women's 100m T53) and Sophie Hahn (200m T38, 100m T38) in a haul that eclipsed 2013's 11 gold medals.

There were also 8 silver medals and 13 bronze collected, as Great Britain finished third in the table with 39 in total, improving on 5th from 2013.

China lead the way on 64, with the United States in second with 57 in total.

Kinghorn was Britain's only gold medalist today, winning the Women's 100m T53 and ensuring that the bar was set high for Great Britain in future World Championships.
