Great British Bake Off fans all say same thing minutes into new Channel 4 series
Great British Bake Off viewers were left saying the same thing on Tuesday night as the new series kicked off on Channel 4.
Before people were introduced to this year's contestants, the show had a Barbie makeover with the opening telling viewers they were going to "Bake Off Land".
With the infamous tent now being bright pink, host Alison Hammond appeared on screen in a blonde wig and wearing an outfit to match the overall vibe.
However, people watching weren't too sure about the idea as many weren't thrilled with the parody.
It wasn't long before viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts with one person saying: "Pointless Barbie start."

Another added: "Holy sh**! I wish I could un-see that Barbie-themed opening."
Someone else highlighted: "I realise it’s because they missed it last year due to their filming schedule falling earlier in the summer, but what was the reason they thought a Barbie skit would be relevant and/or funny airing in September 2024, a full 14 months after its release date?"
"I know it’s filmed quite a time in advance but Barbie was surely a dated reference even when they filmed it??" wrote another.
While another said: "Bizarre Barbie intro. Not really my cup of tea!"
Although there were a few people who enjoyed the unusual start, with many excited the beloved programme has returned.
One person commented: "OMG IT'S BARBIE THEMED!"
Another tweeted: "Bake of and Barbie. The combination I didnt know I needed."
During the unusual skit, Alison ditched her usual Birmingham accent as she opted for an American twang.
She said: "Ah another delicious day in Bake Off Land."
As Noel Fielding approached, the pair joked there was some confusion over who the main Barbie was.
Alison fumed: "We said, it's the person with the best legs would be Barbie?"
Showing off his legs, Noel was adamant it should be him, to try and settle things they decided to call in Paul Hollywood as Ken.
Asking who the best Barbie was, the Bake Off star told them it wasn't any of them as Prue appeared on-screen as weird Barbie.
The first challenge of the year saw the bakers tasked with making a loaf cake to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
The Great British Bake Off continues Tuesday's on Channel 4 from 8pm.
