The Greatest Dancer's format seems to already be causing a bit of tension, and we don't mean among viewers.

On tonight's (January 12) episode, body-popping act Mindtrick seemed to impress a lot of people with his robotic dance moves, though not quite enough to make it past the big mirror.

The show's format means that 75% of the studio audience have to turn their lights on for the acts to make it through, Mindtrick just missing out on that threshold.

However, after he lost out, a few members of the audience were heard shouting "bring him back", much to the annoyance of presenter Jordan, who seemed a big fan of the act.

Taking to the stage, the star rightly pointed-out: "Guys, there's no point shouting 'bring him back' cause it’s the audience who have got all the power.

"It's completely up to you. You didn’t vote!"

Fair point.

He later tweeted: "I can’t lie, I’m still stressed about Mindtrick not going through, bro you were dope, still gutted but that’s the point of the show, up to the audience, can’t complain when it’s up to you to vote."

Many viewers at home seemed to agree with Jordan, one writing: "Love @Jordan_Banjo telling the audience how it is!"

Another added: "Hahaha!! Jordan Banjo getting aggy at the audience then!! He’s bloody right though!"

Quite a few others had things to say, many praising Jordan over his point and admiring him for the investment in the acts:
