Greece warns UK tourists to 'stay indoors' for three days straight
Greece has warned UK tourists to stay inside for THREE DAYS. The European Union holiday hotspot has issued an urgent warning, via authorities, for British holidaymakers to stay indoors, where they can shelter and take precautions against the horrendous weather sweeping the nation.
On Sunday, forecasters have warned heavy rain and thunderstorms will sweep across the nation. It could continue into Monday, with strong winds set to stick around, but by Tuesday morning, conditions across the country are expected to improve with the adverse conditions dying down.
The warning from meteorological experts comes after nearly a week of early summer temperatures in most parts of the country. But experts are now saying the mercury will plunge, as a weather front and stormy conditions sweeps in, pummelling much of the nation.

Autumnal conditions are expected from Sunday afternoon into Monday, with forecasters predicting a decrease in the daytime temperatures. At times, the mercury could have fallen so low that the high is a mere 9C, maps and charts are hinting.
Eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean will be worst-hit, according to the national weather service, EMY. The forecasts show heavy rain battering the islands of the Sporades, the Cyclades and Crete, too.
It is also feared Evia could be braced to be pummelled by the downturn in conditions and stormy weather too. There is also speculation from forecasters that winds will hit Beaufort. Highs will hit 22C to 26C in parts of the country, the maps show.
The Greek Tourism Board is advising those travelling in the upcoming days to check with their accommodation providers and tour operators regarding any changes or disruptions to planned activities. Crete is set to be hit, with the holiday island a go-to and regular destination for Brits looking for a sun-kissed break in autumn.
