Greenwich crash near primary school sees man rushed to hospital
A man has been rushed to a major trauma centre after being involved in a serious crash in South East London today (Thursday, November 14). Shortly before 11am, the emergency services were contacted about a collision at the junction of Millenium Way and Neal Street in Greenwich, near a primary school and the O2 Arena.
Paramedics rushed to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance. When they arrived, they found a man seriously injured.
He was treated at the scene and then taken to a major trauma centre by road, the London Ambulance Service (LAS) has said. The crash took place near St Mary Magdalene C of E school, where pupils as young as four attend.

A spokesperson for the LAS has said: “We were called at 10.48am today (14 November) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Millennium Way and Neal Street, Greenwich.
“We sent resources including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.
“Our first crews arrived on scene in approximately two minutes. We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre by road.”
