A pub in a south east London borough famous for its watering holes has reopened after a six-figure refurbishment. The Lost Hour on Greenwich High Road is once again open to the public with its new décor, creating five new jobs in the local community. Located near Greenwich train station, the popular bar is aiming to be the go-to place to watch sports in Greenwich, with all the major sports channels being shown on The Lost Hour’s several HD TV screens, including Premier League football, rugby, boxing, or Formula 1.

The pub is owned by the Stonegate Group, which states the renovations have been carried out to aid the pub’s goal of being a welcoming space for people looking for a night out or a bite to eat. Inside, the venue's vibrant new décor has created a contemporary setting ideal for bottomless brunch sessions at the weekend. Bold new signage by artist Mister Phil has been added to the front of the pub.

A new pool table has also been added due to demand while the soft dining lounge has been revamped to increase the cosiness at The Lost Hour.

Hayley Carr, general manager of The Lost Hour, said: "These renovations align with Stonegate Group’s commitment to keep improving and innovating, meaning we can give our guests the best possible experience at our pub. We want this investment to make our pub the go-to destination in Greenwich, not only for enjoying the best sporting action on our big screens, but also for indulging in delicious food and drink at great prices.

"Our unmatched selection of world beers, ciders, and cocktails is the best in the area, and we can’t wait to welcome both new and returning guests to experience the fresh new look we’ve been working so hard to create."

The pub describes itself as dog-friendly and its large beer garden has been extended, and guests can enjoy drinking al fresco in a more spacious environment. There’s also a new cocktail bar and a new range of craft beers, world beers and cider at some of the most competitive prices in the area.

There are food and drink deals available throughout the week, along with the popular 2-for-1 cocktail offer and bottomless brunch at the weekend. A new weekly events schedule has been announced with brand-new Boozy Bingo taking place on Monday nights, Sports and Games night on Tuesdays, and Wonderland Wednesdays, the biggest student night in Greenwich.

Thursday kicks off the fun with the weekly pub quiz, while Friday and Saturday nights turn up the energy with karaoke on Fridays and DJs playing late into the night on Saturdays. The weekend wraps up in style with weekly themed brunches every Sunday.
