Love is in the air on ABC's Grey's Anatomy, and creator Shonda Rhimes is continuing to fire cupid's arrow at the show's most unlikely pairing.

Scrubbing in for another memorable romance, Jesse Williams' Jackson Avery and Kelly McCreary's Maggie Pierce appear to have the look of love in their eyes.

Speaking to TVLine, the stars of the show looked ahead to the rest of the season and what's next for "Jaggie".

Playing Maggie's father Richard Webber, actor James Pickens Jr teased that the controversy will continue.

"I don't want to divulge [too much]," said Pickens, "but I think she's setting it up to make a real hard left turn with this thing here."

While the season 13 finale tipped a potential spark between the doctors, Rhimes has grown the bond between Jackson and Maggie over the first half of the series' current run.

It's not quite the incestuous Lannister brood from Game of Thrones, but considering that the duo are step-siblings, it hasn't stopped some fans being unable to accept Jaggie.

Even Williams tweeted about the awkwardness of the situation, sharing a fan-made meme about what everyone thinks of Jackson and Maggie's potential romance.
