Grey's Anatomy adds Law & Order: OC's William Martinez after Ellen Pompeo exit
Grey's Anatomy has added a new cast member following the recent exit of Ellen Pompeo.
New character Trey is set to enter the fray, according to Variety, with Law & Order: Organized Crime actor William Martinez set to play the role.
Trey is an important figure hailing from Simone's (Alexis Floyd) past, and looks set to complicate her already complicated relationship with Lucas (Niko Terho) further.

According to the synopsis for this week's episode 'All Star', Simone and Lucas will be "surprised by an unlikely visitor", suggesting Trey will make his entrance.
The synopsis adds: “Teddy makes a challenging decision. Meanwhile, Maggie and Winston aren’t on speaking terms and Link leans on Jo for emotional support as he preps for a surgery on a well-known athlete.”
As well as Law & Order, Martinez has appeared in the likes of Netflix's Kaleidoscope and The Blacklist.
The actor joins the cast after Pompeo's departure as Meredith Grey last month, with the actress set to remain as narrator for the series.

The character left for Boston, though was thrown a party beforehand. Dr Nick Marsh later declared his feelings for her as her plane was about to take off.
After a pause, Meredith replied: "I can’t quite hear you. We are about to take off. I’ll call you when we get settled."
However, viewers at home were left largely unimpressed with the send-off, one calling it "underwhelming", while another suggested it was "such a disappointment for such an iconic role".
Grey's Anatomy season 19 airs on Thursdays on ABC in the US. The show streams on Disney+ in the UK, where new episodes premiere on Wednesdays.
