Grimsby celebrates Team GB Paralympic triumph with own 'Inclusive Olympics' event
Following the success of Team GB at the recent Paralympic Games, people with disabilities in North East Lincolnshire are being offered the incredible chance to follow in the footsteps of their sporting heroes.
Team GB took home 124 medals in the games held in Paris over the summer. Paving the way for the next generation of Paralympians, the inclusive Olympics held at Grimsby Leisure Centre will welcome guests of all different abilities to compete for medals of their own.
Adapting sports and activities including badminton, softball cricket, rebound trampoline, table cricket and football just to name a few, the event is open to everybody.

The event will be hosted in partnership between Lincs Inspire, Care Plus Group, North East Lincolnshire Badminton Development Group and 2020 Community Sport.
A collective challenge will also be a part of the event. Using specialised adaptive bikes, people are challenged to cycle 500 miles as a group - the same distance from Grimsby to Paris.
Specialist Physiotherapist at Care Plus Group, Jaki Balmer, said: "We're really excited to be part of this special event. Taking part makes a huge difference to the lives of all the people who attend the weekly disability sports session at Grimsby Leisure Centre, helping to create community and inspire achievement."
