Grimsby court list - Ten offenders named and shamed
A man who threatened to chop a person's head off and threatened to burn down another person's house was sentenced last week by magistrates in Grimsby.
While some cases were adjourned to a later date and others sent to Grimsby Crown Court, offenders from across northern Lincolnshire have still been handed jail sentences, suspended sentence orders and hefty fines for a range of crimes.
Here are ten people who have been sentenced at Grimsby Magistrates' Court in recent days.

Elliott Thompson, 32, of Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes indicated pleas of guilty to one count of threatening to damage or destroy property, namely by threatening to burn down a person's house, one count of racially or religiously aggravated harassment causing fear of violence to the victim, namely by threatening to chop the victim's head off and making racial slurs, and one count of possession of cannabis. He was given a two-year suspended sentence order, an electronic monitoring tag, 160 hours of unpaid work and a two-year restraining order. He was also ordered to pay a £154 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Lee Hussey, 41, of Durban Road, Grimsby indicated a plea of guilty to causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving. He was banned from driving for one year, fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and an £80 victim services surcharge.
Derrick Markham, 59, of Sheffield Street East, Scunthorpe indicated a plea of guilty to the cultivation of cannabis and the possession of cannabis. He was given a community order with a curfew and electronic tag monitoring requirement and ordered to pay a £114 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Lee Diable, 37, of Darlington Court, Cleethorpes pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating and sending messages that were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character. He was given a community order with the requirement to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay a £114 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
James Pexman, 42, of Cross Street, Cleethorpes pleaded guilty to three counts of theft from a shop in which he stole a crate of beer and food worth £30 from Heron and steaks worth £30 from Marks and Spencer. He also pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating, two counts of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress and one count of criminal damage. He was jailed for 24 weeks.
Luke Cross, 36, of Welholme Road, Grimsby indicated pleas of guilty to one count of assault by beating against an emergency worker, namely a police officer, and one count of threatening to damage or destroy property. He also pleaded guilty to one count of racially or religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress by words or writing. He was given a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Daniel Keetley, 39, of Saxonfields Drive, Stallingborough pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of cocaine. He was banned from driving for 20 months, given a community order with the requirement to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay a £114 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Gareth Davies, 37, of Southfield Drive, Epworth pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance and failing to provide a specimen of breath when asked by police to do so. He was jailed for 12 weeks due to an "appalling record" of similar offences and banned from driving for 49 months.
Luke Coyne, 32, of Holland Avenue, Scunthorpe pleaded guilty to one count of criminal damage in which he urinated in a police cell, and to failing to provide a specimen of breath when asked by police to do so. He was banned from driving for 22 months, given a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and ordered to pay a £114 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Isabella Deans, 24, of Post Office Lane, Kirmington pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of cannabis. She was banned from driving for one year and ordered to pay a fine of £120, £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £48 victim services surcharge.
