Grimsby Town v Notts County postponed as 'parts of pitch unplayable'
Grimsby Town's home clash with Notts County has been called.
Tireless efforts from ground crew during the week had been paying off, but with colder temperatures overnight on Friday into Saturday than expected, the referee made the decision after a 10.30am pitch inspection before an early kick off at 12.30pm.
In a statement, the club said: "Following the pitch inspection, the referee has deemed that certain areas of the Blundell Park pitch are unplayable, despite the best efforts of our ground staff."

With an earlier than usual kick off - as it had been due to be televised on Sky - away fans would have already been on their way to Blundell Park, as well as Mariners fans who live out of town.
The club added: "We apologise for the inconvenience the late call has caused for supporters of both clubs.
"We’ll be in touch about ticket information in due course."
