Growing Glass Fire Burns on Both Sides of Napa Valley's Silverado Trail

The fast-spreading Glass Fire in Napa Valley, California, had grown to some 36,236 acres by the evening of September 28, according to local authorities.

Two smaller fires had merged with the Glass Fire, Cal Fire said, and it was zero percent contained.

Evacuations were ordered for locations across Napa county, as well as in some parts of Sonoma county, with the towns of Calistoga and Santa Rosa among those most at risk.
