What's the best thing about Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy?

Groot? Maybe. Chris Pratt's magical abs? Close. The villain? Hell no.

It's the soundtrack, obviously. Not only did the Awesome Mix Vol. 1 play an integral part of the film, but it had us singing along to 'Hooked on a Feeling' for weeks/months afterwards.

So we're all obviously massively excited to find out that we won't have to wait long to nab the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 soundtrack for ourselves after seeing the film in cinemas.

Director James Gunn revealed on Instagram that Awesome Mix Vol. 2 will be released on April 28 – the same day as the film's UK release.

Which means if you live in the United States then you'll get your hands on the soundtrack a whole week before the sequel's theatrical release, on May 5.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 will see our anti-heroes reunite alongside Yondu and his gang and the 'whose side is she really on?' Nebula.

This time around, they have to deal with villainous space priestess Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) and Ego the Living Planet, who is played by Kurt Russell and just so happens to also be Star-Lord's father.

Later on this year we've also got Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok coming from Marvel Studios. To be brought completely up to date on what you need to know about the films, just click on their titles.
