Guatemala's Volcan de Fuego Erupts Again, Forcing Thousands of Residents to Flee

Guatemala’s Volcan de Fuego erupted on Monday, November 19, spewing lava and ash into the air and forcing almost 4,000 residents to flee.

The volcano is located on the borders of the Chimaltenango, Escuintla and Sacatepéquez areas, and is one of Central America’s most active volcanos.
