Former Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum has announced he is set to become a first-time father aged 60.
The Grammy Award-winning musician and his 36-year-old wife Ace Harper are preparing to welcome a daughter together later in the year, they revealed.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2013, shared with People: "We are beyond elated with God's gift of our baby girl. Of all the beautiful adventures we've been fortunate enough to have in our lives, there is nothing that compares to the joy we feel of finally creating our own family.

Sorum also played drums in rock supergroup Velvet Revolver, where he was joined by fellow Guns N' Roses stars Slash and Duff McKagan along with Dave Kushner of Wasted Youth and Stone Temple Pilots' Scott Weiland.
They were awarded a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2005 for their song Slither. The group's final performance was in 2012, and Weiland died from an overdose in 2015.
