Guy Ritchie's new gangster series starring Tom Hardy has an exciting update.

The untitled show — previously known as The Associate — has begun production in London, according to Deadline.

The Paramount+ series features an all-star cast with Hardy set to star alongside Pierce Brosnan and Oscar winner Helen Mirren.

Brosnan and Mirren will play powerful husband and wife team Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, who are head of one of the most successful organised crime families in London.

Meanwhile, Hardy will appear as Harry Da Souza, the Harrigan's dangerous 'fixer' who is always on call to help deal with their problems.

According to the official synopsis, the crime series will tell the story of "two warring families based in London whose enterprises stretch all corners of the globe and the fiercely loyal 'fixer' charged with protecting one of them at all costs".

In addition to his on-screen role, Hardy is signed on to executive produce alongside Ritchie. Other executive producers include award-wining playwright Jez Butterworth and film producer Kris Thykier (who is married to Strictly's Claudia Winkleman).

"Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren are masters at their craft and we are honoured to have them lead the cast for Guy Richie's new global, original series," said Paramount Global Co-CEO Chris McCarthy.

The Paramount+ series marks a reunion for Hardy and Ritchie, who previously worked together on 2008 film RocknRolla.

Meanwhile, Brosnan and Mirren have just finished filming The Thursday Murder Club, a Netflix film based on the novel of the same name by former Pointless' star Richard Osman.

Ritchie's most recent TV series was The Gentleman. It was a huge success for Netflix, being the fourth most-watched series on the streaming service in 2024.

In August, the show was renewed for a second season, with Theo James and Kaya Scodelario and set to reprise their roles.
