Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin Consciously Reach A Divorce Settlement

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have reportedly reached a divorce settlement after announcing their “conscious uncoupling” more than two years ago.

The Oscar winner, 43, and the Coldplay frontman, 39, who wed in 2003 and filed for divorce in April 2015, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the split, have now figured out the logistics of their breakup.

Keeping the official paperwork to a minimum and getting a default judgement means that the details of their divorce will remain private.

According to a legal document filed by Paltrow (and obtained by E! news) though, the couple have entered into a written agreement regarding their various properties and child custody rights, while both parties have given up their rights to spousal support.

Now the last step in the dissolution of their 10-year marriage will be a final judgement from the court.

Fans first learned of the trouble in their relationship when Paltrow posted a lengthy message on her blog, infamously referencing the phrase “conscious uncoupling.”

In the years since the announcement, the pair have maintained an amicable relationship and regularly reunite to spend time with their children, Apple, 12, and Moses, 10.

Just a week ago, Paltrow shared a snap of herself and Martin in high spirits, while celebrating their daughter’s birthday.

She captioned the photo: “When your parents can’t handle #thundermountain anymore so they wait for you at the bottom. #disneyland #thehappiestplaceonearth #birthdayweekend”
