Gwyneth Paltrow once told us to steam our vaginas and add sex dust to our smoothies – and now she’s channelling Van Helsing to help us stave off vampires.

The 44-year-old actress has started selling Psychic Vampire Repellent from Paper Crane Apothecary on her lifestyle site, Goop.

At $30 (£22) a bottle, the product claims to provide a “protective mist” to “safeguard” users’ auras.

A description on the site reads: “A spray-able elixir we can all get behind, this protective mist uses a combination of gem healing and deeply aromatic therapeutic oils, reported to banish bad vibes (and shield you from the people who may be causing them).

“Fans spray generously around their heads to safeguard their auras.”

Paltrow’s latest product was mocked online with some Twitter users poking fun at the name while others begged Paltrow to “stop”.

One joked: “It works. I haven't seen a single psychic vampire for ages.”

Another tweeted: “Y'all, someone's gotta talk to Gwyneth.”

Paltrow appears to see the funny side and reportedly told Business Insider that it was “meant to be a tongue-in-cheek product”.

A spokesperson for GOOP said: “We carried another product from the line and we received feedback from customers that they wanted us to carry more products from Paper Crane Apothecary, which is a small, independent purveyor.”
