Gwyneth Paltrow reveals ex Chris Martin joined new husband Brad Falchuk on their 'modern' honeymoon

Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk tied the knot in September, but it wasn’t until Christmas that the newlyweds set off on their honeymoon. The actress and businesswoman opened up about the vacation they took over Christmas in the Maldives on Wednesday’s Live With Kelly and Ryan – and called the trip a “big family honeymoon.”

“My new husband and his children, my children, my ex-husband, our best family friends. It was a very modern honeymoon,” Paltrow said.

Paltrow was previously married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin from 2003 to 2016 and has two children with him. After going through what they called a conscious uncoupling in 2014 before eventually divorcing, Paltrow and Martin have remained very much in each other’s lives. So when she was asked by Ryan Seacrest what things were like around the honeymoon dinner table, she described it as “great conversation and lots of kids.”

Paltrow and Falchuk reportedly spent Thanksgiving with Martin and his new girlfriend, actress Dakota Johnson, and Paltrow also hung a stocking for Martin during the holidays.

“I think we just wanted to minimize the pain for the kids, they just want to see their parents around the dinner table, basically. We try to keep that,” Paltrow said.

And while Goop remains Paltrow’s main outlet for ideas and tips towards a better life, Kelly Ripa may have talked Paltrow into a new venture.

“So many couples get divorced and there is so much acrimony. You should write a book on how to do it so that there’s not, so the kids aren’t affected,” Ripa said.

Paltrow seemed intrigued by the idea, and after thanking Ripa for the compliment she said, “Maybe. Maybe I will.”
