Gypsy bride slams royal wedding

'Big Fat Gypsy Weddings' star Sam Norton has blasted the royal wedding as "boring".

The 18-year-old brunette - who was initiated into the traveller community when she married gypsy Pat, 20, earlier in the year - thinks Kate Middleton's lace gown looked like it had come from a "charity shop" when compared with her own 196lbs creation, which was fitted with fairy lights and robotic butterflies.

Sam exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I think the royal wedding was actually really boring to be honest. They needed to gypsy it up a bit and have some more dancing. Our wedding was much more fun.

"Kate's dress was horrible. It was old-fashioned and looked like it had come from a charity shop. To be fair, she probably didn't like mine either but I just think her dress should have been more special."

Sam also admitted 'Big Fat Gypsy Weddings' - which is up for the YouTube Audience Award at the upcoming Philips BAFTA TV Awards - has helped her husband Pat secure so much work that the pair are even thinking of launching their own career in the future.

She added: "The show has been really good for us. Patrick gets recognised everywhere we go and he's had so much work off the back of it.

"We might even get our own TV show one day."
