Paul Kee is hoping the arrival of midfielder Danile Kearns will boost H&W Welders' push for promotion.

The experienced midfielder, who has five Irish Premiership winners medals, has joined the Welders to help bolster their push for the top flight. Kee's men currently sit top of the Championship on goal difference from Bangor.

The talented young squad have made an impressive start to the season with five wins from their opening eight league games. Kee feels the addition of former Linfield, Larne and Peterborough United man Kearns will help aid their top flight ambitions.

“We have been looking for an experienced player to help our young players in the squad since pre-season and didn’t have an opportunity to obtain one due to them going elsewhere," Kee told the club's website.

"When we found out that Daniel was available and then we met and obviously he liked what he saw and we also liked what we saw in Daniel so we are delighted that he has come on board. Hopefully he can help our young evolving squad as an experienced 33-year-old who has extensive Premiership experience.”
