Hackney Wick stabbing sees man in his 20s rushed to hospital

One man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Hackney Wick on Saturday evening. The man's condition is not said to be life-threatening.

The police were called to Eastway in Hackney Wick just before 9pm to reports of a stabbing. When they attended they found a man in his 20s suffering from stab wounds.

Members of the London Ambulance Service were at the scene with the police and took the man to hospital for treatment. No arrests have been made so far and police continue to make enquiries into the circumstances.

A police spokesperson said: "Police were called at approximately 8.50pm on Saturday, September 14, to reports of a stabbing in Eastway, E9.

"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man, aged in his 20s, suffering stab injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment – his condition is not life threatening.

"No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD6691/14Sep. You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800."
