Hail 'Like Ice Cubes' Bashes Central Oklahoma
Severe weather continued to menace Oklahoma on Thursday, May 5, as storms lashed parts of the state with wind, hail, and rain, the National Weather Service said.
Footage taken by Jenny Street captures hailstones falling in northwest Edmond on Thursday, she said. Street told Storyful she has lived in Edmond for 24 years and had “never seen” hail so large before. In the video she says, “It’s like freakin’ ice cubes” amid the din of the hail hitting her roof.
The NWS said hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain were possible for southeast and south-central Oklahoma through Thursday afternoon, with areas under flash-flood warnings. Credit: Jenny Street via Storyful
