Hail Rains Down During Suspected Tornado in LaGrange, Georgia

Heavy hail hit LaGrange, Georgia, early on Sunday, March 26, as a suspected tornado was reported in Troup County.

Footage recorded by @Calvin_UGA85 shows hailstones causing water to splatter out of a pool in LaGrange as lightning flashed shortly before 5 am local time on Sunday.

Local media reported that a damaging tornado touched down in LaGrange around 7 am local time on Sunday. The NWS has not yet confirmed the tornado.

Troup County Sheriff’s Office said they had received multiple reports of damage to trees, houses, and power lines.
