Hairstylist breaks down how to get Victoria's Secret Angels’ bombshell waves at home
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and its angels returned to the runway for the first time in six years with some top models leading the way. Klaudia Duszyńska, Founder of Hollywood Hair, delved into the night’s most noteworthy looks and how avid fashionistas can get their bombshell hairstyles at home - without much specialist equipment.
Kate Moss
The iconic British model turned heads with her usual edgy, rebellious attitude on the runway and rocked some relaxed waves to pair with her black tulle wings and lacy lingerie. The expert shared: “Those tousled, rock-chic waves felt both timeless and effortlessly cool. Kate's style was the epitome of that ‘undone’ glamour that she has mastered over the years.”
Achieving this look starts with some volumizing mousse on damp hair before blow drying it. Klaudia continued: “For the waves, use a 1.25-inch curling iron, but focus on wrapping the hair in different directions to create an irregular, lived-in texture. Finish by scrunching the hair with a texturizing spray to add a bit of grit, and you’ve got that edgy, cool-girl vibe that Kate brought to the runway.”
Gigi Hadid
The current IT girl of the runway, Gigi Hadid was the talk of the evening as she opened the show with a silky pink bodysuit and matching extendable wings that dwarfed her on the monumental stage. Gigi’s blonde bob was styled in the iconic golden Hollywood bombshell wave, sharply turning out at the edges.
Klaudia explained how to recreate this slick look: “I recommend starting with a smoothing serum to control frizz and create a sleek base. Blow-dry using a round brush for volume at the roots and smoothness throughout the lengths. Use a large-barrel curling iron to form those bouncy waves, and don't be afraid to add extensions for that extra boost of volume.
Finally, in the audience Hollywood stars Phoebe Dynevor and Olivia Culpo stole the spotlight with their sleek, minimalist styles. The hairstylist noted the key products here are a smoothing serum or oil that you must use before straightening the hair in order to get that high shine, glossy finish.
