Halesowen and Rowley Regis is now plain Halesowen after the boundary review. It will be a seat Labour is targeting from the Conservatives in the 2024 General Election. Pollsters have tipped Labour to take the seat which has swung between Labour and the Tories in the past but is currently in the hands of James Morris.

Since the Halesowen and Rowley Regis constituency was formed in 1997, it has had only two MPs - Conservative Mr Morris and Sylvia Heal from Labour, who was the MP for 13 years before. Mr Morris has been MP since 2010, when he took over as part of David Cameron's Government.

Tories will be desperate to hold on to Halesowen but Electoral Calculus strongly predicts a Labour win. It comes amidst a tough time for Rishi Sunak's party which is predicted to lose despite an 80-seat majority in 2019.
