Most mornings there is some kind of dressing dilemma.

Do you go for a trendy polka dot or classic floral print? A structured shirt dress or romantic ruffled maxi?

Such conundrums.

What if we told you that, just like your favourite half 'n' half Domino's pizza, you can now mix and match your wardrobe.

The spring/summer 2018 catwalks saw designers such as Off-White, Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga merge two garments together, so you never have to make a hard wardrobe decision ever again.

Naturally, the high street has now caught on, splitting everything from bikinis and trousers to dresses and skirts right down the middle, creating the perfect sartorial solution for indecisive people.

Slightly confused? Here are the best ways to work the trend...

Finding it hard to choose between all the patterned dresses on offer this summer?

You can now get a two-for-one deal thanks to Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga, which have created mix and match designs.

McQueen sent a plethora of ethereal evening gowns down the runway, mostly merging gingham and floral prints into one lustworthy creation.

Meanwhile, Balenciaga went for more of a casual day aesthetic, creating pleated maxi dresses with eye-catching contrasting floral prints for its Resort 2018 collection.

As proof that the look works just as well on the streets as on the runway, here's a snap of Cardi B totally working an Off-White spring/summer 2018 design. Bargain hunters, ASOS is currently selling a similar number for £75.

To start off subtly, take note from Off-White's spring/summer catwalk and go for garments that mix monochrome prints.

There are plenty of patterns available: from a trusty stripe to stylish spots, or the more unique dalmatian print.

Topshop has a great selection of black and white styles, boasting everything from an elegant ruched wrap dress to a casual mixed camisole top and wide leg trousers.

The hard-working hybrid

It's not only prints that are being joined together, but also different items of clothing.

McQueen sent a half dress/half trench coat down the 2018 catwalk, meanwhile, Simone Rocha has also championed hybrid styles in the past, merging a tulle dress with a crisp white shirt.

What's not to like? It's an entire outfit all-in-one, AKA, a lazy girl's dream.

ASOS are here for it, joining a floral print shirt dress with a cheetah print skirt for one killer sartorial statement.
