Halifax 'chemical incident' triggers major emergency response
A huge emergency services response has been triggered following a 'chemical incident' in Halifax.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are leading the response at an industrial building in Water Lane after they were called out shortly before 2.22pm on Tuesday, January 21. The area has been taped off while crews attend.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service sent in their Hazardous Area Response Team, but they were later stood down. West Yorkshire Police confirmed they were also in attendance to help firefighters secure the road.

An ambulance service spokesperson said: "We received an emergency call at 2.22pm on Tuesday afternoon to report a chemical incident at industrial premises on Water Lane, Halifax. Our Hazardous Area Response Team attended the incident and were later stood down.
"West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service led the response to the incident."
