Chloe said it was "easy" to keep her younger sister's pregnancy under wraps, telling PEOPLE, "I keep all her other secrets, so this was just another one in the books"
Mum’s the word for sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey!
On Saturday, singer Chloe, 25, opened up to PEOPLE about keeping her 23-year-old sister’s pregnancy under wraps at the Urban One Honors: Best In Black event in Atlanta.
Calling her sibling’s pregnancy the “best kept secret ever,” Chloe raved that she is “on cloud nine” following her nephew Halo’s arrival. “She’s an auntie, she’s an auntie!” she excitedly told PEOPLE.
The Little Mermaid actress announced that she and her boyfriend DDG had welcomed a son named Halo into the world earlier this month in a sweet Instagram post.
Chloe, who was the "Generation Next" honoree at the ceremony, also opened up about how she kept Halle grounded during her secret pregnancy and kept the news so closely guarded.

Admitting it was “easy” to keep her younger sibling’s secret, Chloe continued, “We just ignore it. I would tell her, like, take social media off your phone, you know, I keep all her other secrets. So this was just another one in the books.”
Along with being honored during the ceremony, which was held at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, Chloe also performed “Feel Me Cry” from her debut album In Pieces, which she released in 2023.
Previously speaking to PEOPLE about going out on her own musically after rising to fame alongside Halle as a musical duo, Chloe said that she lives by the mantra: "Fake it until you make it."

"We both didn't really know who we were individually without the other, and that's what was really scary for me," she explained of launching her solo career. "It was a moment of self-doubt where I was like, 'Can I do this without my sister?' ”
Since announcing Halo’s arrival on Jan. 7, Halle has shared a few glimpses of her baby bump with her fans, including in a fun TikTok with Chloe.
In the throwback video, which was posted last week, the duo teamed up to perform a dance routine to Drake, SZA and Sexyy Red’s track “Rich Baby Daddy.”
Halle showed off her bare bump in a black sports bra and dark gray joggers, while Chloe rocked a cropped black velour tracksuit and black corset.
Chloe captioned the TikTok, which appeared to have been filmed in a hotel room, with a series of crying with laughter emojis. Halle also posted the video on her Instagram Story with the caption, “🤣🤣🤣🩵✨.”
Halle revealed her little one’s arrival by sharing a snap of her manicured hand holding her son’s hand with a gold bracelet featuring the name “Halo” on his wrist.
