Yahoo News Halle Berry joins the cast of John Wick Chapter 3
After two chapters of impressive ass-kicking and dishing out the sweetest revenge, we wondered how the third chapter of John Wick would top what's come before it.
But now we know for sure, as Oscar winner Halle Berry confirmed her involvement in John Wick: Chapter 3 over on Instagram earlier today (May 21).
Alongside a photo of a handwritten note from The Continental – where else? – the actress wrote, "It's a date. 5.17.19" before confirming she'll play someone called "Sofia".

Chapter 3 is keeping details of Halle's character under wraps for now, but The Hollywood Reporter has suggested that she will star alongside Keanu Reeves and not against him as the movie's villain.
An official synopsis released by Lionsgate released last month revealed that Keanu Reeves' iconic assassin John Wick will be on the run out of New York City after killing a member of the High Table on Continental Hotel grounds.
Ruing the day he ever went out and sought vengeance for the death of his dog, Chapter 3 will follow Wick as he tries to evade the global $14 million open contract on his life.

"The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental's manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he's 'Excommunicado' – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members," the synopsis teased.
John Wick: Chapter 3 will be released in the US and UK on May 17, 2019.
