Halloween Kills star Jamie Lee Curtis has teased how the sequel will reflect real life.
Set after the events of 2018's Halloween (which ignored all the previous instalments of the slasher franchise, except for the 1978 original), Halloween Kills will see a host of classic characters return to unite against masked stabby man Michael Myers.
While speaking to SiriusXM about the film, Curtis explained how it's not just her Laurie Strode who's been impacted by the serial killer, but also the likes of Lindsey Wallace (Kyle Richards), Tommy Doyle (Anthony Michael Hall) and Marion Chambers (Nancy Stephens).

It's that sense of a community uniting together against a greater evil that Curtis believes is representative of current world events.
"What we were seeing around the country of the power, of the rage of voices, big groups of people coming together enraged at the set of circumstances, that's what the movie is," she said.
"The movie is about a mob. And so it's very interesting because it takes on what happens when trauma infects an entire community.
"And we're seeing it everywhere with the Black Lives Matter movement. We're seeing it in action and Halloween Kills weirdly enough, dovetailed onto that, proceeded it, it was written before that occurred, but then of course, so when you see it, it's a seething group of people moving through the story as a big angry group. It's really, really, really intense."
With conviction, she then made the bold claim: "It's a masterpiece."
Halloween Kills is set to be released in cinemas on October 15, 2021. Halloween is available to purchase on Blu-ray, DVD, 4K and streaming now.
