Tel Aviv has been targeted by Hamas rockets. as sirens sound in the streets.

The Mirror reports that Hamas' military wing announced it had launched a fresh attack from inside Gaza.

Al-Qassam Brigades announced it will hit the city with a large missile barrage in response to what it called the "Zionist massacres against civilians."

A spokesperson for the IDF said on X, formerly Twitter: "A barrage of rockets was launched from Rafah toward central Israel moments ago.

"Humanitarian aid has been going into Gaza through the Kerem Shalom Crossing this morning, and now rockets are being fired at central Israel."

Warning sirens were sounded across Tel Aviv and central Israel.

This comes as a UN court ordered Israel to halt its offensive in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, a move which has deepened a disconnect with the United States. The Israeli military operation faces mounting international condemnation but that American officials describe, at least for now, as limited and targeted.

The Biden administration stands apart from the global community -- though it is opposed to a major offensive in Rafah, the administration also insists that the steps its close ally Israel has taken so far have not crossed red lines.
