'Hamilton was a star-studded event that captured hearts and minds of Bradford'
Over the last few years, since it burst onto steaming service Disney+, Lin Manuel Miranda's Hamilton has captured the attention and intrigue of millions the words over. The songs catchy, the story true and its stars filled with talent, it has truly cemented itself as one of the greatest musicals ever written.
Telling the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton, the musical takes it audiences from his beginning to his tragic and untimely death in New York.
The West End's show is touring the UK and after a long and exciting wait, it finally arrived at Bradford Alhambra earlier this week On Friday, the star-studded event was attended by many of the Emmerdale cast, and stars from Traitors and Married at First Sight UK. If you were starstruck entering the theatre, it was nothing to what the show made you feel.

Audiences were introduced to Alexander Hamilton with the first song, aptly named Alexander Hamilton. It was just the start of many a bop in the musical.
The score brings together rap, R&B, hip-hop and Broadway - it's a soundtrack perfect for anyone and everyone watching. There is truly something for everyone.
As a myriad of characters were introduced, including Aaron Burr and the Schuyler Sisters, crowds at the theatre watched with bated breath to see how Alexander's story would play out.
Highlights include the meeting of Alexander and Eliza, with Helpless being expertly sung by standout star Roshani Abbey. Marley Fenton and Billy Nevers blew audiences away with their performances as Hamilton and Aaron Burr, navigating their way through being "frenemies" while a new nation is built.
Louis Maskell's turn as King George left the crowds packed into the theatre in stitches as he watched on following the revolution.
As someone who has watched and loved Hamilton from afar from the comfort of their own home, seeing it in person, hearing the songs and watching the story play out was a real treat. I knew it would be special, but the masterpiece that is Hamilton is truly the best musical I have ever seen.
Hamilton runs at Bradford Alhambra until February 5.
