A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed to death near a busy north London Tube station.

Edmond Jonuzi, 35, was found with serious knife wounds near Turnpike Lane station, in Haringey, on Saturday, June 9.

Mr Jonuzi, also known as Edmond Preci, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at about 4pm in Tottenhall Road, in nearby Wood Green, on Monday, Scotland Yard said.

He has been taken to a north London police station where he remains.

In statement, the Met Police said: “Police investigating the fatal stabbing of 35-year-old Edmond Jonuzi, also known as Edmond Preci, in Green Lanes, on Saturday, June 9, have made an arrest.

“A 19-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of murder at 4pm in Tottenhall Road, Wood Green.

“He has been taken to a north London police station.

“Enquiries continue.”
