Harry Kane believes there is no need for Tottenham to panic into buying players this summer because the squad is already good enough to challenge for major titles.

Spurs are yet to sign a player in this transfer window while their London rivals Chelsea, who pipped them to the Premier League trophy last season, have spent big to bring in Alvaro Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger and Willy Caballero.

Arsenal have also splashed the cash to recruit striker Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon while West Ham made Marko Arnautovic their club-record signing on Saturday following on from the captures of Pablo Zabaleta and Joe Hart.

Kane, though, isn't worried about Tottenham's lack of activity so far in the transfer market and insisted it's better to sign no players than those who may not fit into Mauricio Pochettino's style of play.

Speaking ahead of Tottenham's 4-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain, in which Kane scored the fourth, he said: "We think the squad's good enough, you can see not many people have changed since last year," Kane told ESPN FC TV.

"We took It right to the end, but look the manager will make his decisions and there's still a long long time left in the transfer window so there's no need to panic or rush anything.

"I think it's clear you'd rather have no players than a player that ain't really right for your team, so I'm sure if the gaffer wants to get the person he wants to get in he'll take his time and make sure he gets who he wants.

"So yeah, from our point of view we're just here to work hard [knowing] the team we got is a special team that we've been playing with each other now for a few years, so it's important that we continue that chemistry."
