Rafael Nadal kept his ATP finals title hopes alive with a win against Daniil Medvedev in London.

Nadal was 5-1 down in the final set and survived a match point to take the win 6-7, 6-3 7-6.

The Spaniard needs to win on Friday to stand any chance of progression to the semi-finals.

His opponent will be Stefanos Tsitsipas who is already through to the next stage of the competition.

The 21 year old is making his first appearance at the event and beat defending champion Alexander Zverev in straight sets, 6-3 6-2.

And finally former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has taken up a new role, as chief of global football development of FIFA.

The Frenchman has said he wants to help develop men’s and women’s football whilst in the position.
