Prince Harry was spotted celebrating his mother-in-law’s 67th birthday at the first California date of Beyoncé’s Renaissance world tour.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were photographed watching the concert in Inglewood’s SoFi’s Stadium on Friday from a private box with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, and two others.

All four were dressed in silver hues in an apparent response to the singer’s request that attendees dress in silver.

Meghan, in a shimmering dress, was seen clapping her hands, while a rather more pensive Harry, dressed in white trousers and a beige, silvery jacket, stood with his hands in his pockets.

Beyoncé, who kicked off her tour in May, has played in London, Amsterdam and Paris so far. Friday’s was the first of three shows in California, with the last falling on her 42nd birthday on Monday. Ahead of it, she posted on Instagram: “Virgo season is upon us.”

“This tour has been such a joy and as we approach the last month, my birthday wish is to celebrate with you wearing your most fabulous silver fashions to the shows 8.23-9.22!”

Beyoncé has long championed the Duchess, praising her “courage and leadership”.

In 2019, she accepted a Brit Award standing alongside her husband, Jay Z, the rapper, in front of an image depicting Meghan dressed as the Queen.

Later that year, following the birth of Prince Archie, the Duchess was filmed greeting Beyoncé warmly at the London premiere of The Lion King.

Beyoncé also publicly praised the Duchess after her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, writing on her website: “Thank you, Meghan, for your courage and leadership. We are all strengthened and inspired by you.”

In one episode of the Netflix Harry & Meghan documentary, released last year, the Duchess was filmed receiving a text message from Beyoncé shortly after the interview had aired.

“Beyoncé just texted. I still can’t believe she knows who I am!” she exclaimed.

Harry suggested she call her but Meghan replied: “No, it’s okay. She said she wants me to feel safe and protected.

“She admires and respects my bravery and vulnerability and thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed. Hmm.”

The Duke agreed with the sentiment, adding: “That’s well said.”
